2008 Champions honored and special award winners crowned at awards banquet

The 2008 Division 3 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA Summit Racing Series, NHRA Dart Top Sportsman Racing Series, NHRA Spitzer Race Cars Top Dragster Series, NHRA Jegs Super Quick Series and NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League champions along with a number of other special award winners were honored this past weekend at the 42nd annual "Land of the Winners" Awards Banquet held at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites.

Among the evening's honorees were Bill Floyd and Leo Taugher named Land of the Winners Persons of the Year by Division Director Jay Hullinger. Both have been a significant part of the North Central Division from their earlier days working at their local track to their work on divisional and national event crews. This year marks the 30th year of service as part of the Division 3 Certification Team.
